Isaac comes to us from Wisconsin. But, please don’t hold that against him. He is definitely someone you would be happy to work with. And, honestly, Isaac would be happy to work with you. He really is a very light and happy guy. Working with Isaac is not boring. There is a lot of laughter, playful teasing, and uplifting moments which can be so refreshing for clients when they are dealing with heavy, complex, and sometimes traumatic issues.
Now, just because he is sweet does not mean he is a push-over. He knows how to be tough and motivating when needed; especially for clients that need a nudge (or a boot) to get to their goals.
“I do best with clients that like to do deep work. Whatever pace we need to go, we can go. But, we are here to dig in and find out what is really going on. ”
In addition to working with Adults, Isaac also has a specialization with working with younger adults and teens. His clinical training focused heavily on younger folk on the complexities that people in those ages of life face.
Isaac also is a specialist with working with LGBTQ+ clientele. As an openly gay man, Isaac understands, both clinically and personally, how important it can be for some LGBTQ+ folk to find a therapist that understands that cultural piece.
Lastly, with his background in behavioral neuroscience, Isaac helps clients understand how and why their brain operates the way that it does, and helps clients learn how to harness and control the power of their own minds.
As Isaac gets settled in Minnesota, we strongly suggest getting to meet him soon. He is endlessly kind, caring, knowledgeable, and goofy. He’s all things that make a great counselor, and we think you will agree.
