Emily is one of those therapists who has an incredibly warm side, but also a gift at being tough in a really effective way. First, let us explain the warm part?
She’s got a super supportive personality. She’s super bubbly and often regarded as a kind soul. This works well for clients that need to move at a calm and steady pace, and who are working through some really tough issues. She greets her clients with a big smile and you can genuinely see how relieved her client’s are to be back in session together.
Emily also does a really good job with being tough to help clients make progress toward their goals. She has a knack at being able to “call you out” in a way that feels more like a hug than a slap on the wrist.
Emily also has a specialty in working with Eating Disorders, body dysmorphia, and other food and body-related issues. She is a sought-after clinician because of these skills, and is very gifted at helping her clients overcome the challenges of disordered eating.
Additionally, Emily also works with clients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or other compulsive behaviors. We think she really understands how to work with people when their brain hijacks their behavior. She artfully helps them rewires their mind and her clients are better for it.
